Cinderela B Jewellery Competition Styling

Hello lovelies!

So today's post is an entry for the Cinderela B Jewellery competition - which is styling my ultimate Christmas party outfit!

Earrings - Cinderela B
Faux-Fur Jacket - BIBA
Dress - ASOS
Shoes - ASOS
Bag - New Look
Nail Polish - Chanel (Matte)
Hair - Lauren Conrad!!

I decided to style the outfit around Cinderela B's gorgeous gold star charm earrings, because in at my ultimate christmas party, my ears would be pierced, and I think these are SO christmassy - gold, stars, what more could a girl ask for?

The rest of the outfit is fairly self-explanitory, but I wanted to keep a black and gold theme throughout. Sorry about the use of Lauren Conrad's hair in this - but I do love this curly high ponytail and think it would suit the outfit well.

Also, can you tell I just learnt how to use Ribbet? Queue many posts containing christmassy images - especially as it's nearly December 1st and as I type someone outside my window is singing Rockin' around the Christmas tree.

Are you going to a Christmas Party this year? What will you be wearing? Discuss outfits below in the comments, I'll read and reply to all of them :)

My favourite cleanser & moisturiser

Amie Morning Clear Purifying Facial Wash* - £4.95
Amie Morning Dew Matte Finish Moisturiser* - £4.95
Hello All!

Today I thought I'd share with you all my favourite Cleanser and Moisturiser at the moment. I know I've mentioned them fleetingly in previous posts, but I've really got back into using them together recently and I thought I'd write a little post about it.

I first started using the amie range when I was 13, and have recently got back into using their products again. To start with, they smell amazing, but not in an artificial way, which I love. The texture of the products is really lovely, and the cleanser feels luxurious, yet not heavy (particularly as I have oily skin). This always makes my skin feel really refreshed and properly cleaned - I just massage it in, then splash it off with water - simples *meerkat noise*! I think it's very telling that I rank this above the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish, and my Mum also loves this (and she's tried almost every cleanser there is I swear!)

Secondly, the moisturiser. This is brilliant value for money as it's lasted me ages. It's not the thickest texture - but I like that - and it quickly absorbs into the skin, making it feel nourished, hydrated and smooth.

Both of the products not only contain lots of great things for skin and smell amazing, and help clear my skin HOORAY! They are also brilliant value for money. The only hard thing can be tracking them down, so I was thrilled when my local Waitrose started re-stocking them. Otherwise, John Lewis is your key, or online (just google 'amie skincare')

Unfortunately I've run out of the exfoliator recently, but I'd love to do a post on that in the future - as well as try out other products from their range!

October Beauty Favourites (Better Late Than Never!)

Hello Hello,

November is upon us, meaning yet another month is over. I can't quite express how quickly 2012 seems to be going, however, the good thing is, Christmas is now not too far away - less than a month now before the first door on our advent calendar's will be open.

I've found and re-discovered some products this month, that I have subsequently used quite a bit, and thought I would share with you all.

The first is this Rimmel lipstick, from the Kate Moss Matte collection. It is in '107', a perfect autumnal dark lip for everyday, or evening, depending on the richness of colour applied.

What I love about this lipstick is how versatile it is. For a slightly dark, everyday look, it looks really good just smudged a bit over the lips to give a bit of colour. However, if you want to do the full whammy and go for a vampy, dark look, this provides a lovely wine colour to the lips, dramatic yet wearable.

This is just £5.49 from the Rimmel section of pharmacies. I bought this as MAC had sold out of a similar lipstick from the Marilyn Monroe Collection, and wanted an alternative. I'm so glad that I got to try out Kate Moss's collection for Rimmel - I'm not usually suited to Matte lipsticks but this one is perfect.

Next in my favourites is this lipgloss from Jemma Kidd. I'm not quite sure what's been happening with Jemma Kidd as a brand recently, I know they have had some economic trouble, but I'm not sure if this means they will be stopping making their cosmetics. Either way, I absolutely love this lipgloss in no.7, 'Blossom'. It's the perfect everyday pink gloss - but what makes it different is the purpley-blue minute sized glittery peices in it - which make my teeth look lovely and white and add sparkle to the gloss.

This looks amazing over different lipsticks - whether you're into loads of gloss or just a touch, I think this will be for you! It's so perfect for both summer and winter that I think it is definitely worth the investment.

There is also a lot of product in this, so I feel that it is cost-effective and the perfect pre-winter treat. I've recently been wearing this over my Rimmel Kate Moss Matte Lipstick in 107, I just smudge some 107 over my lips to give them some colour, then apply this over the top - even my Mum who isn't into lipsticks & gloss said it looked nice!

So here is the gloss swatched, and the lipstick swatched again. Once I'd wiped this off after taking the picture, I was amazed by the amount of teeny tiny pieces of purple/blue glitter on my hand - I'd never really noticed it before!

ps. sorry for hurrying this, too many essays due in at the moment and thought I'd finished this and posted it xx
